Lovingly known as the DuPuis Building in the heart of Jackson's business, financial & social district, you will find this ornate neo-Egyptian style building boasting a gorgeous hand painted ceiling, cast in Europe & assembled in the main gallery. Built in 1928 w/architecture heavily influenced by the discovery of King Tut's tomb in 1922. Many scarab beetles are prominently featured throughout the building, inside & out as a nod to the original owners, The Bugg family, as a symbol representing manifestation or the rising of the morning sun. The beautiful display cases are hand carved and ready to be repurposed, the swan neck sconces were designed & made by Beffell's lighting.
